I Wear No Mask

by Tyrell Jones

I wear no mask,
I’m not as bad as I was in the past,
I’m in pain from the war I had fought,
Put down the guns, open yours eyes and see what the world has become,
Growing up as a child it was fun, now I have bills and a lot more funds,
It was fun, running around playing cops and robbers with toy guns looking up at the sky wondering what would I become….

A lost mind
with a lost soul
Groveling and scratching for more
but….
All I got was a closed door.
